Hear, hear.
Although why the BBC felt the need to obtain the graceless comments of John Rees of the 'Stop The War Even Though it's Finished' coalition is beyond me, unless it was to prove that he's a t*sser of the first order. Whatever one's views on Op Telic/Iraqi Freedom, his remarks were quite uncalled for.
But to end on a positive note, it is indeed a long-overdue recognition for those involved.:ok:

At last!!!
Good to hear even after all this time that the vets can be recognised.
The MoD do the strangest things like give all the remfs on Cyprus the gulf medal when they didnt even set foot off the island!! Even some of my mates on the green line got the gong even though under UN command!!!
