YOU !!!

The "common" PPRUNER and reader of my cr@p.
The Job - Seeker - I wish you all the best in your search !
The Helicopter Pilot giving sometimes your own life for someone else's, the game counter, killer and culler.
The Airline Pilot having these days not just the worry to fly but also International Terrorism, but also SARS fears, drunk pax, never mind a job - loss.
The small aircraft pilot. Might you deliver my DHL packages, or fly tourists or take pics of probable diamond fields - you might feel smaller than the big oke's - you most probably mean the most for African flying !
To the VIP manne and vroue, might you fly Tabo or Sheik Wa Wa or Harri Kirri himself or maybe BOB.... uhmm Good Luck !
To the student that puts so much effort into becoming a pilot - may your big dreams come true.
To all the engineers, ATC's, weather buro mac's, service crews behind the scenes and all the numerous admin people.
To all my friends I have met on this forum.
To my SAAF mates, and friends made afterwards, ORCA, 4HP, Bert, BAKELA, FM .. too many to mention ...
To 4HP the coolest moderator and creator of THE CAMPFIRE.
To everyone I might have missed.
To my mom, dad, sister, dear wife, 3 official kids, 2 daschunds, 9 gold fish, 2 piranaha's and my pregnant cat ... ok ok I am finished ....

GOD Bless you all ! And I thank you for what you do for Africa Aviation in whatever capacity !

VIVA Africa Aviation, Viva PPRUNE ! :ok:

Cheers,

Gunsss

Well done Guns - we look forward to the next 1000. And remember, I've told you once before - gatkruip kry jou nerens boeta. (for the Anglophiles, the above is a colloquial reminder to Guns that brown-nosing doesn't gain him any privileges. Not with this mod :D)

Fly safe out there.

Dear Guns, as a fellow poster has already worked out your ratio of number of posts to elapsed time since joining these elite halls ... I was wondering what is your ratio of posts to elapsed bottles of Tassies? :E

I feel honoured to have all these replies. :ok:

Many thanks to all of you. :ok:

Must admit I had a bottle of the finest on myself (yes Tassies Bert) last night. :bored:

" Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers on the wine farms and all of their hopes and dreams.
If I didn't drink their wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered.
Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver. " :ok:

Guns,

Congrats on the 1000th one. Lekker man. :ok: Hope the Tassies you had on it was not too rough. ;) Ek moet sę, dit lyk nie of daar ander wippe of hierdie (Afrika & Kampvuur) forums is nie, dus, al is ek nog 'n snotpoppie op Pprune, geniet die gelukwense. (translated - it does not seem like there are other females on the African & Campfire forums, and although I'm a youngster on Pprune, enjoy it).

Be good, and if you can't - be damn good at it! :}

Ciao for now,
Sharalumi

Dear Guns

Just another quick note of thanks to you. You make a truly great contribution to this forum. Virtually all your posts either leave me something the wiser about the world of aviation or at least give me a good laugh. The African forum on Pprune is the best forum by a mile and I believe most of the credit should be yours.

Regards

GT

PS I'm still not convinced of the virtues of Tassies!
