EMA - distance from Derby?

hi all

how far is EMA from Derby Rail Station? Would like to fly into there and make a rail connection with minimum journey time but public transport options appear sketchy. What would a taxi cost?

All help appreciated.

Derby isn't all that far from the airport - I'd guess at about 10-15 miles. There doesn't appear to be a bus service from the airport to Derby, which seems strange. There is a bus that goes to both Loughborough and Nottingham railway stations though!

Edit: if you look at http://www.derbysbus.net/ there is in fact an hourly service that runs from EMA to Derby station at 20 minutes past the hour. Hope this helps!

thanks, didn't spot the "by taxi" on the EMA site, was concentrating on the "by rail".

The bus doesn't make my connection in time (1045 northbound). May have to look at the taxi!
