I was going to complete an FAA CPL course but I have decided to carry on in the U.K.
My plans now revolve around achieving my Frozen ATPL and then further training, finishing with a Type Rating on a 737-300. Luckily I married a Chinese girl and as I have spent a great deal of time there.(learning the language and customs) I am hoping to land a position with a Chinese Airline.

What views have fellow members on the following subjects ?

1-Jobs in Asia
2-Working for your current employer, whilst waiting for that elusive position.
3-Will age and former career history help or hinder. (I am currently 28, whilst I have no Aviation qualifications I am lucky to find myself being a senior `sports car` development engineer.
4-Future prospects for 2002-2003.

Tough choice champ. Sounds like you have a good job so why do you want to drive planes. Ask yourself that. However if that is what you want then I say if you build it they will come and another favourite of mine is face your fears live yours dreams. I realise this doesnt answer your questions but hope it helps! It keeps me focused when faced with a tough decision.
