Does anybody have any statistics (from an authoritative source) to enable comparison of the relative accident rates for FW/RW twin engined aircraft in the Public Transport Category over the last few years? Excluding piston planks.
Nick or anybody else please?

All I can say is that whenever I try to get any kind of insurance and I mention that I am a helicopter pilot, the insurance guy either vanishes or gives me a price quote as high as the sky.

When I flew Beechjets (fixed wing) for a fractional ownership program, I had no problems or unusual prices for my life or medical insurance.

I'm guessing insurance companies know something I don't about safety of helicopters vs. airplanes.

CAP 735 from CAA.CO.UK would be aq good place to start.
