Hi

Can someone please tell me what the different Phase 1-5 ect. on Citation 500 stands for!
We are a small team looking to buy this aircraft. Right now we are in the planning stage, and would like to know a little about the maintenance of this aircraft.

Regards
Henrik

It’s Cessna’s own Maintenance Program which is usually tracked with CESCOM, the in-house computerised recordkeeping system. The program is divided into five primary phases (Phases 1 through 5) which are the main repetitive phases that make up the basic requirements of the inspection program
(1) Phases 1 through 4, which each have an interval of 300 hours, are designed to be accomplished in a continuous, repetitive 300-hour cycle by three different optional methods.
(2) Phase 5, which has an interval of 1200 hours, is designed to be accomplished in a continuous, repetitive 1200-hour cycle by four different optional methods
(3) In theory, you could carry out Phase 1 at 75 hr, Ph 2 at 150 hr, Ph 3 at 225 and finally Ph 4 at 300hr. Or you could combine 1 & 2 at 150 hr and 3 & 4 at 300 hr. OR you could do 1,2,3 & 4 at 300 hr. There are other Phase inspections eg Ph 10 is Battery recondition on some models and it’s generally every 100 hrs.
Then, when you reach 1200 hr you do the “big job” Ph 5. And start again!
Hope this helps
