Hi,
I'm thinking of going to Canada to get a float plane rating and hopefully secure a job there afterwards to build hours. Have frozen ATPL but minimum hours). Anyone out there done/doing this?
If yes, can you tell which part of the cold vastness is best for jobs and which schools. Also any problems along the way? (ie. am I wasting my time and better off getting an instructors rating for same price?...boo hoo..)

Cheers now:ok:

Well... things don't look that good right now if you're a low hour pilot. I suggest you do a search on "float" here at the AvCanada forum and then decide if the adventure is worth it or not. http://www.syz.com/avcanada/forums/

Anyway, good luck! :ok:

Cheers, that's a good site for what I needed to know. Will hopefully get some idea of what to do... become a plumber perhaps ;)
