Rather than fly from Edinburgh to LHR then onto Calgary, in Sept, I've opted to fly Air Transat from Glasgow, non stop to yyc. Just wondered if these guys were any good? and also does anyone know the equipment that they're using on this route. Heard it was a A330, but know they have a couple of L1011 knockin about. Also wots the in flight entertainment and service like?
Can anyone help???

Their service is quite good for a charter operator.

If you are over 5'10" pay the extra for Club Transat. In fact, for that long a haul you probably should do it anyway.

You get what you pay for but they are good value.

The flight is scheduled to be operated by a 330. Have a look at HERE (http://www.airtransat.com/en/4_3.asp) for upgrade details and seat pre-booking.
