Not sure about redeeming miles, but I've just booked to go on BA001 on 5 July.......in the end the opportunity of getting on it before it retired FAR outweighs the cash aspect!!!
While I'm on....question for Bealine.....How many air miles could I earn for this trip (coming back in Y) and can I just apply for the Executive card at the airport when I go?
Thanks,
a very excited mr.777!!:D :D :D

Triple 7,
You can join the Exec Club online, just go to ba.com. Then, when you have your membership number, make sure that it is input to your reservation details.
Don't know how many miles you will get, haven't really looked at the new schemme which starts July 1, but I think you can get that from the Exec Club part of the BA website.
Have a great flight, make sure you arrive in plenty of time to enjoy the lounge and the spa.;)

mr.777, If this is one of the special tickets, out on Conc and back on sub-sonic (possibly even a triple!) then you will earn standard Conc miles on the sector. This is standard mileage x 3. For the return, standard discount Y seating of 0.25 of the mileage. You will also earn Club Tier points for the Conc sector.

I know this as I am on one of these tickets on 8th August!! :) If they were not giving the mileage, I wouldn't care and was surprised that they are giving full mileage. That said, the fare of £2,000 is about equivalent to the one-way Conc, with the return being thrown in for free, as they have plenty of spare seats.

Like you, I cannot believe that a childhood dream is about to come true. :D

Thanks for the info chaps.Have duly joined BA Exec Club via their website. My other half will love that......as she works for Mr.Branson (she's convinced I'm wasting my money as Dickie boy will be operating them soon!).
PAXboy,it was your post written after you'd got special offer tickets that inspired me to think "f*** it" and buy the ticket.....albeit after a month of self-persuasion!I actually bought a 3nts NYC package from ebookers with SSC out and subsonic back. For those of you still umming and ahhing about whether to do similar..... I bought mine at 10:30 this morning and have been grinning inanely ever since...and the money aspect has not bothered me in the slightest (thats what plastic is for after all!).Just do it!!

I'm sorry, I must profess I don't know what mileage you would earn - but I know a man who does. Give our Executive Club Helpline a call on 0845 771177 and they'll let you know!

You can apply for membership at the airport. If you pick up the application form, a Temporary Card is inside which you can use until the permanent one comes through. (From what passengers tell me, it does take quite a while - 3 months in some cases - for the Executive Club to process your membership).

Good Luck - enjoy Connie!

There is now good award availability westbound (the difficult half) in July and August as well.

If you've got the points (BA or QF) and you want to do it, this is the time.

[Edited to add:]
I did this a couple of hours ago for someone else. Then-current availability (which is changing all the time, of course):-

They are rotters at the Exec Club.... prior to July 1, Concorde Miles are actually standard miles x 4, not times 3.... so you could expect a mileage award of 3,458 and a cabin bonus of 10,374 (total, 13,832).... after July 1, expect only 3 times.....

For the economy return, you'll get 25% miles before and after July 1 - so:

Before July 1 - your trip gets you 14,696 (bet BA round down...) and after, 11,238.
