1 of 2. Two-part documentary following the race by aviation firms Lockheed Martin and Boeing to develop an affordable stealth combat plane to meet the 21st-century needs of the British and American naval and air forces. The programme follows the work from drawing board to prototype at Lockheed`s Skunk Works and Boeing`s Phantom Work, as the two vie for a contract worth in excess of a hundred billion pounds. Just watched the prog. It's unusual, and also very good to be able to see the inner workings, warts and all, particularly of such a sensitive project.
Not being biased, but the Boeing jobby ain't 'arf ugly!

I don't think that it really is capable of flight.

Its so ugly that the earth repels it.
