FROM A ROYAL FLYING CORPS REPORT OF DECEMBER 1917

"It was conceded by all that the pilot had accomplished a brilliant
piece of work in landing his disabled machine without damage under the
circumstances. It is not with intent to reflect less credit upon his
airmanship, but it must be noted that he is a well experienced aviator
with over 40 total hours in the air, embracing a wide variety of
machines, and this was his seventh forced landing due to complete
failure of the engine.

It was doubly unfortunate that upon alighting from his machine he
missed the catwalk on the lower airfoil and plunged both legs through
the fabric, straddling a rib, from which he received a grievous
personal injury”.

:ok: Well done to that fella...a bit late now I know..but 40 hrs flying and 7 engine failures...thats almost up there with a Rotax Powered machine :O

*Whilst TC takes all available measures to ensure posts are factually correct, TC takes no responsibility for the comments re Rotax engines...I'm sure they're fine...I really am. They sound very reliable. *:E

I fly a rotax powered machine and I have never had a days trouble with it. It's got me home everytime. Mindyou it is a little underpowered but can't complain the engine is great! 81hp can anyone guess what kind of aircraft it is?
