I attended on the 23rd August and haven't heard yet. I have a mate who got through both stages in the last recruitment 'batch' and he said he waited ten days after the assessment day for the thumbs up. No news is good news! Best of luck

Best of luck to both of you.

Just curious - any idea what type of equipment Britannia would put you on first if you succeeded? 757/767 or 737-800?

Another question: For people in your qualifying bracket - what's the average number of hours? 200-500 hours?

Good luck

As far as I know Lavdumper, Britannia UK is getting rid of the 737s to Britannia Sweden in exchange for 2 757s so there will be no 737s in the UK fleet. :p

according to f/o at assesment day spend at least a year on 757`s and if positions available for 767 will do differences course for 767.
Then spend your time between 757`s and 767`s possible to apply for ETOPS course, but purely based on your seniority position.

fusible plug congratulations hope the sim goes well.unfortunately i got the thanks but no thanks letter on saterday .must admit finding it a bit difficult to get a job, with 1600 hrs on b737 you would think i wouldn't have a problem in the current climate.pilot shortage, i think it's a myth.never mind all the best anyway.

The rate Britannia is losing pilots, I'm surprised that they're turning any of you away!

fusible plug & VSQUARED,

I have the assessment day very soon and wondered if you could tell me what to look out for in the maths test. Heared a rumour that differentiation and integration were involved!!!! is it true? Or just a wind up?

Cheers bigears ;)

Maths straight forward - easy add divide subtract. Golden rule, answer it or move on. All Q's carry equal marks and there is no point in blowing valuable time over an awkward Q - get to the end and start again from the top. It's all about technique - what makes you think any other pilot is better at maths than you!
