Just bought a new ibook and I would like to create a home network with my desktop PC (yukk I know!). I've attatched the cross cable to my PC network card and then to my mac. When my ibook searches for a network though it draws a blank. Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong and what I can do to solve my problem.

Hi
Although you are connecting the computers together OK they don't speak the same language.
If you want to take documents from the PC onto the Mac the best program to use is 'Dave'.
