When I open my e-mail account when on-line I recieve all the latest messages then my dial up connection cuts off and needs to be re-dialled.

Not a major problem just an inconvenience.

Any ideas gratefully recieved

Hi BELHold,

from the menu select „Tools“/“Options“,
there should be a tab “Internet E-Mail” or similar, where you can turn off the annoyance.

happy landings

Depending on your version of Outlook or Outlook Express.

For Outlook 2000 see Tools/Options Tab "Mail Delivery" Dail-up options, uncheck the box "Hang up when finished sending, receiving ro updating.

For Outlook Express 6 see Tools/Options Tab "Connection" Dail-up, uncheck the box "Hang up after sending and receiving":8
