Has anybody who attended on this day heard anything yet, especially Great Expectations? I got a letter this morning telling me that my application is under review. Has anybody else has this sort of reply? What are the odds for getting a positive response from what I can only assume is a review board of some sort?

Hello C130.

I got the same letter too. Check your e-mail. We are definietly in a review of our applications, and could take some time according to someone I know. hmmmm.I feel the need for a few of these http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif to demonstrate my feelings hehe

So this is it. We have not been rejected or accepted, but we are very very close to our dreams. I want this position so so bad.

Good luck mate, this could go either way

Hi guys,

I was meant to be with you lot on the 22nd, but they asked me on the monday to go the day before, as 2 had dropped out (apparently they have to have a minimum of 5 to do the group exercise - understandable).

I haven't heard anything yet. Shame I wasn't on your day.....it would have been nice to put faces to names!

Good luck!

Hey!
Charlie 130, I did post a message for you - maybe u didnt see it. Ive had all the paper work through, my application was accepted. Ive been thinking of you and I really hope you are in too - I think itd be brilliant to see you again. Needless to say I hope the others get there too... Having good people in the group exercise makes it so much easier to do well and I think we were all great. Good luck, hang in there and let me know when u hear. xxx

That must be a different letter to the one I got then. I'm afraid the news for Pie was not so good - Flight status revoked for another year. http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/frown.gif http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/frown.gif http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/frown.gif I hope you guys get it - You can give me a jumpseat ride. :)

A very dejected Pie.

It's nice to get a good response. LORI, we're in this together. It's going to be a stressful next few weeks! Don't worry Pielander, if you've got the passion for flying something will come up - at least, that's what I keep on telling myself.
As for Great Expectations, she truly lives up to her name - WELL DONE. I'm really pleased for you. If I don't get through, I want that jump seat position on your Concorde!!!!

C130 it sure is going to be a nailbiter alright! There is simply nothing we can do but wait.

Pielander, what can I say. I know how much this obviously means to you, but dammit you were very good on the day. We had a really good bunch of guys to meet, and for that the day was worth it. DO NOT be discouraged in your quest. Phone/write to them for feedback, but get it, learn, apply what they say, and next year you will know exactly what they want out of you. It is a horrible feeling to get the rejection letter, but they are not rejecting YOU, only your application, and that can be improved for next year!!! Get yourself a few beers down your throat, say **** ** **** *** *****ers a few times, then pick yourself up, and go for your dream. You are a top bloke :) :) :)

As for me and C130, we have got a perhaps long wait. I hope I can get a bit of sleep over the next few days for the worry!

All the best EVERYONE. Congratulations to all who made it, to those that didn't, just go for the dream again, and again, and again.

A reflective and anxious,

LORI

Cheers for the moral support LORI. You bet I'll be back for more. What did they say to you anyway? Sounds like they left you on a knife-edge.
