Flight International - Marshall Aerospace handed over the first of three ex-UK Royal Air Force Lockheed martin C-130K Hercules aircraft to the Austrian air force on 19 March, after a modification programme.
The UK overhaul provider carried out structural maintenance on the aircraft and installed traffic alert and collision avoidance systems, dual inertial navigation systems, engine instrumentation displays, fuel gauges and weather radar. A flight-management system has also been fitted to the aircraft to allow them to be operated without the assistance of a navigator.
