Hello,
I have heard that RAF pilots are currently / going to be undergoing EFT not at JEFTS on fireflys but instead at UAS's on tutors. Does anyone know any more information on the above or know the JEFTS website?

Cheers

You are correct RAF EFT has now been farmed out to the UAS's. Apparently there is spare capacity in the UAS system to complete EFT ???

Not only that but JEFTS at Church Fenton has shut down. Also no more summer camps since EFT studes will need care and attention all year round. Bad luck for alcoholic UAS studes.

If JEFTS Church Fenton has shut down it's happened since I went to the Fenton Flyer after work this evening ;) . 7th July is the date, we'll be going strong for a while yet. For the website look here (http://www.babcock-hcs.co.uk/maritime.html) . If you need more info email me.

On the premier UAS we've has DE EFT studes from cranwell for more than two years in a seperate flt (normally between 3-6 at a time). From what I now under there will be no sepearte "DE flt", and the Direct entry guys will integrate with the main squadron (and there will be more of them). This will mean all there will be less wastage due to spare capacity when the normal UAS people are working hard at uni, and not getting drunk of course, and there will be more young un-connected Cranwell grads for the girlies to chase around...

Happy landings

(I hope they're better than mine...);)
