Canadian Helicopter Crashed In Baku Airport

Helicopter ‘Sikorski-76’ that belonged to the ‘Canadian Helicopters’ Company crashed in Bina settlement of Baku today, ANS TV reported today.

According to AzerTac State news agency, after landing in the landing strip in the helicopter occurred fire. No human loss reported, as the crew abandoned it timely. Fire was extinguished by the fire safety group of the airport.
Investigation to the case was launched by experts of the ‘Canadian Helicopters’ Company.

I hear it may have been a training sortie.

as a current tng pilot.....sure am anxious to hear further details

Sounds like an Auto gone bad.
Reports say the aircraft landed very hard, cleaned the gear off, then skidded on it's belly, exposing fuel. Is it a common practice to do full-ons during training? In my CHC 212 days, we were not allowed?
