Random Drug/Drink Testing

Now over a year since I left The Big Airline having lost Class 1 privileges. At time of (very distressing) departure there was growing speculation and much grape-vine stuff about imminent random (but obligatory) alcohol/drug testing to be conducted when reporting for duty. In view of recent events it would be interseting to know if any such measures are yet in place. Cheers for now BM

Cannot speak for the Big Guys, but as a Part 135 Pilot here in the states, I reported to work a couple weeks ago and was sent down to do a Random Breath test. First time for me, but I have only been flying 33 years. No problem.

I'm part 135 and got sent for a random drug test a while back.

I asked if I should go now or do I make an appointment. They pointed out to me that if I made an appointment, it wouldn't really be random now would it? I felt pretty dumb.

BTW, I had to guess two of them but I still managed to pass.
