This is probably an old question, but what jobs can a JAR CPL holder apply for in order to build up hours and the necessary cash for the IR. I've looked into Instructor courses, but what else is out there ?

Besides parachute dropping, agricultural work & banner-towing, a good way to build up hours with a CPL only is to fly local people around. Lots of flight school advertise for vouchers ("fly over your house & take pictures for £50" or so) & it works well. Usually the local FI will do these flights, but legally U only need a CPL.

maybe I am being over cautious, but taking people over their house to take pictures and charging them for it is classed as public transport and requires an AOC etc,
If you were caught doing this without one, you could be in trouble with the CAA

I would also look into the Insurance side too, some one once had told me that you are not legally covered for this, this was quite a while ago i dont know if its still the issue.
