i had already posted a similar thread in january.....what if....

how will aircraft routings be affected from southeast asia into europe in case of an iraz invasion ?

much obviously depends on the airspace closure around iraq.

understand that at present a lot of traffic is routed via pakistan, across most of iran on a northwesterly heading and then straight across the northern part of turkey.

is it likely that this will change dramatically leading to reduced payloads (SLF and pax) with much longer flight times or will there be fuel stops on existing nonstop flights ?

understand that SQ has for example applied for (and been granted) fuelling in ATH both ways SIN-FRA-SIN on both SQ26/25 and SQ326/326.
