Are Astraeus getting A320's for this summer ?

If so how many are we getting based at MAN ?

Despite their recent advert for A320 pilots, the rumour I heard was no A320’s as there is caution because of Iraq. It sounds like a sensible decision to me.

Why would you want a small fleet of NG's and 320's?

Astraeus is looking to boost its capacity ahead of this summer's schedules and is talking about the possible lease of 2 additional aircraft.
The airline has 2 Boeing 737-300s and 2 Boeing 737-700s and has an immediate need for additional capacity.
The airline has not finalised a plan but according to a senior executive in Airliner World magazine "The A320 is under consideration, primarily because of competitive lease rates available"
One 737-300 is going to Iceland Express a new no-frills airline.

As I understand it, Astraeus will be flying for Iceland Express on an ACMI basis, rather than the a B737 ‘going’ to Iceland Express per se.
