Just thought I would let all you wannabes know how worth while this course is. I attended the very first course this weekend and found it very useful. Topics that where covered included CV advice, aptitude testing, psychometric testing, roll play, and mock interviews. The staff that run the weekend have a wealth of knowledge and are more than happy to pass it on. I totally recommend the course and suggest that it is money well spent. :)

I also attended the course, but Blighty will be pleased to know that I've managed to bring my spell checker back with me! Now would that constitute indirect aggression? The course was aimed at wannabe's and hit just the right notes. I have come away from there feeling very confident and knowing just what it is most of the airlines are looking for. If I am successful in gaining employment then I know who to thank. They taught me an awful lot in a short space of time. The best link to gain more information on the next course is probably:[email protected]
Good luck to everyone who attended.
(PS who cares about the rostering anyway?)

This course sounds like a good idea.

When is the next one and how often do they run?

Do they prepare you for 'difficult' interview questions?

YEAH, I WAS ON THAT FIRST COURSE TOO - FOR THOSE OF YOU THINKING ABOUT IT - WELL WORTH ATTENDING! I SUPPOSE 300 SMACKERS MAY SOUND LIKE A LOT AT FIRST, BUT AFTER WHAT WE'VE ALL SPENT GETTING THOSE PIECES OF PAPER IN THE FIRST PLACE, ITS DIDDLY SQUAT AND IF IT COULD JUST MAKE THE DIFF BETWEEN GETTING A JOB OR NOT......

Saxon stop shouting you're being openly aggressive but I respect the fact you can make a mistake! That's me being assertive.

Good luck all.

Just thought I'd throw my hat in the ring and say that as ex mil I found the course excellent. I had no idea what to expect from boards of interview etc. Highly recommend for all Mil blokes about to leave the Forces.

"say eddin" I have just enrolled on aot's Feb course and the e-mail address is [email protected] and if you are having problems getting on their website, try mysite.freeserve.com/aot/index.jhtml

Maybe see you there, best of luck as we all need it now!

What companies are being represented on this course? I have viewed the website and it appears a bit vague!

Are the pilots from various Airlines thus giving a balanced view on interview technique or are they just a few pilots from the same company giving a run down on their own particular selection process?

No one seems to have mentioned this. Is it a secret?

Say edding,

Thank you for that, I am grateful for the reply. I am still a little dubious though. I haven't had much success securing an interview and would be most interested in knowing who is, or is likely to be recruiting in the near future. Do you really believe that the course will help you get your foot through the door?

Have you managed to get an interview? I see you were on the first course but want to know who is on the next? Are you going again? Is it that good?
