Well, I have just seen the most amazing bit of flying in an amazing helicopter. The pilots put on a stunning display of barrel rolls, rollover-and-pullthroughs and bunting to 120 degrees nose down.

You could hear the teetering-head people sucking in their breath and saying "Holy 5h1t!" as this thing pulled off trick after trick. The coning angle on the blades as they pulled through was something to see.

And coming directly after the Super Hornet demo didn't diminish its impact.

Well done Eurocopter! And the cockpit of that machine looks pretty good too, with all those screens. But can it pick up the TV Shopping Network in flight?

For Ascend Charlie:

The NH90 you have seen in Avalon was the second of five prototypes of the NH90 (PT2). It is at this moment mostly used for demonstrations to show it to the world.

The screens in the PT2 are the 'old' ones merely used for the In Flight Display System (IFDS) of the new puma helicopters. They are very nice, but the serial NH90's are going to have even nicer screens. PT3, PT4 and PT5 already have these new Multi Function Displays, and to give you an idea what it looks like have a look on
the NH Industries homepage (http://www.nhindustries.com) in the NH90 helicopter section.
