Can anyone tell me what is needed for a low flying rating in oz (pic, dual) or if there is such a thing.

If I recall correctly and I could be wrong as I'm not near a copy of the orders to check, a low flying endorsement involves five hours of dual instruction. This will then allow a cpl to conduct approved airwork below 500 agl. However not ag work or mustering as these are further endorsements. Any flying school here will be able to give you the details

CASA will tell you, there is no such thing as a low flying rating. The Ag and Mustering ratings both have (identical) sections of their syllabii which cover low flying, and this section will generally be referred to by CASA when issuing an authority to low fly.

eg, the requirements in CAO's for fire fighting require a helicopter pilot engaged in water bombing to have completed the ag endorsement low flying syllabus.
