The Bournemouth based airline Le Cocqs AirLink is expanding its services from Bournemouth airport, with extra routes starting next month to the Channel Islands.
The news comes just days after it emerged the low cost operator Buzz was pulling out of the south coast airport following its takeover by Ryan air. "Whilst we were disappointed by the news Buzz weren't going to be flying from Bournemouth, we still have every confidence in the long term future of the airport", says Noel Hayes, Le Cocqs AirLink's chairman. "That is why we're expanding services from Bournemouth, and adding Guernsey to our route network."
AirLink's flights to Guernsey begin next month, and complete the airline's Channel Island route network which already includes Jersey and Alderney. "Bournemouth is still an important regional airport, and it provides the ideal base for our services to the Channel Islands", says Noel Hayes. "We've been flying those services for more than a year now, and they are proving very popular. Once we've added Guernsey to the network, Bournemouth will become a major departure point for Channel Island visitors."
"Bournemouth has traditionally been very popular amongst Channel Islanders who want to visit the UK, and we expect our new services to be a welcome addition to the local tourist trade". AirLink began flights between Bournemouth and Alderney in January last year, and added Jersey to its network last October. Last weekend, it carried its ten thousandth passenger, an important milestone for the local company.
"AirLink is proving that a local airline can be a success. I like to think we are a good local success story for the south coast", says Noel. :D

Probibly a combination of the Trislander or the islander.

They are currently operating an all white Islander this week from Bournemouth.

There is no times on website for the guernsey.
