Just wanted to know of anywhere that offers ICUS in NQfor building hours. I've got a lot of rotary wing time and a fixed wing CPL and want to head down the fixed wing path. Any help would be appreciated.

What about trying www.gulflineaviation.com.au These guys were (are?) looking for a 4-500 hr chopper dude, but they operate a variety of fixed wing also. Might be worth a call. They won't do ICUS though.

Nothing wrong with trying to get your first f/w job with a company like Stanbroke and do the real thing - fly as a Pilot in Command.

ICUS is just as its name suggests under supervision. Beyond the required 10 plus hours to get proficient on type for IFR, why bother? You are not required to be there (otherwise you'd be an FO), so the company has a reduced payload of about 80kgs per flight.

Why would a company bother with this except to make a few extra dollars out of you (like the old bankrunning trick down south). Get out there and do the real thing. You've done it once on choppers. Fixed wing should be easier.

Good luck.
