Was in NE Africa yesterday & heard a guy on the radio totally lose it. The reason for his excitement - his windscreen had just been filled with an IL-76 going the other way - this in a non-radar but controlled environment.

I hope my voice never gets as high pitched as that guy.

I had a TA over East DRC while on the climb wednesday last week. It was a russian crew not listening out. They seem to use 126.9 as a chatter freq.only.

Sorry to hear about this 4Hp and Exjet. This is the type of problem that I tried to address in that thread re African Aviation. We have these problems every day - and it is just about always Russian / Ukranians with comss problems ... now I am talking low level chopper flying. Luckily not too may there with Split Bus at his levels ... :*
