Anyone out there know anything about a "rumor" that Kuwait will close its airspace to Commercial/Private flights on the 10th of Feb.?

Waiting for the boss to leave and hate to miss any window that would leave me here watching the Coney Island Cowboys leveling Iraq.

heard it was the 15th feb??

having been in DXB during Iran/ Iraq conflict and the Gulf War as well as some time in BEY and JED...this is normal, but makes for longer trips.

i suspect that most of the airlines: EK GF QR etc will cancel some of their flights in the area during this time.

cheers

Thanks for the info. Hoping its the 15th also as I'm sitting here in Kuwait, on standby for the owner. Planed to leave the 12th. The rest of the crew thinks we can bust into the airport and fly out at 50 feet if anything happens here. I think they have been watching too many "B" movies. My guess is the flight would be very short at 50 feet AGL. Keeping my fingers crossed.
