Has anyone seen any charts which will help with dead reckoning. Such as one with groundspeed, distance and time.

Minor point, but it's ded reckoning, the shortened version of deduced reckoning.

Yes, I know, pedantry is rife... :)

DT,

Deduce means to draw a conclusion. Ded reckoning is drawing a conclusion on your position using heading, time and speed.

Have a good one, Dave.

Flying is easy - just throw yourself at the ground and miss.

I am not sure how a Chart will help you with DR! All charts have distance markers.

DR traditionally used Heading and Airspeed which was plotted on the chart as a vector, by applying the forecast wind you can calculate track and groundspeed but, if you are flying over the sea or featureless terrain there is no real check they are correct. When you eventially fix your position, you can draw another vector back to the Hdg and TAS vector to give you the average wind over the time flown. This is then used to DR ahead.

DR is a vector sort of thing and charts don't necessarily enter the equation. Doubt if Sporty's can bail you out of this one, perhaps you're after a plotting chart which can be supplied by Jeppesen. Your position on this is ambiguous at best.
