Looks like Newcastle was closed aswell earlier on today....all were either cancelled or diverted...where do Newcastle usually get diverted to? is there a procedure or just where there is space?

>>where do Newcastle usually get diverted to

Teesside or Leeds normally take quite a few but often BA go to Manchester. Edinburgh is also an option that has been used in the past.

So only Luton was closed eh LTN MAN? - it's now 0950 and I here that STN is still suffering from it's 12hr+ closure. You should also check out LHR and LGW during the snow storms - especially as it would apear less snow fell there than North of the Capital.

I undestand from the met some 14cms fell at Luton. This is a totally different story from the last time I flew in there - Xmas 2 years ago.

Blacktop rules OK - well done guys.

EDI has been used several times this winter already - including yesterday

My friend Mr Cheap Seats had a brilliant journey from Amsterdam into Luton yesterday. He finally arrived home a day late having spent the night sleeping in a taxi on the M11, following a diversion to Stansted. He claims that the traffic was stationary, but I reckon he planned it. Another night to add to their short break. The taxi was cheaper than a hotel!
