I have a couple of video clips on VHS that I want to insert into a PowerPoint presentation.

What do I need to convert them onto my puter, in what format?

Alternatively, is there somewhere I can go that will do it for me?

Similar question so probably not worth a new thread:
Do you guys reckon its better to take this approach with footage from an analogue camcorder, or will the expense of a video capture card and the hassle outweight the costs of a new digital one, coming in through the USB?
Trying to put together a punchy squadron vid with a not very punchy a/c...

All help much appreciated,

DAVE.

Transfer the Analogue Video & Audio to Mini-DV - use phono connection and a DV camcorder that has A/V record input.
Use a "firewire" or capture device to computer.
The instruction manual for the DV camera usually tell you how.

The only problem will probably be the crap quality of the VHS unless you have the master tape.
