KLM plane filled with excrement
A KLM airliner had to return to Holland with no passengers after the floor of the cabin became filled with human excrement.
The incident happened when the contents of two toilets were blown into the passengers' cabin.
A KLM spokesman said: "The floor and the seats in the cabin were much too dirty."
A toilet cabin has a vacuum system to suck the excrement inside a container but, when the container was emptied, the contents were blown back into the cabin.
More than 160 of the 282 passengers had to take another flight from Bonaire, which is part of the Dutch Antilles, back to Holland.
KLM paid for the remaining passengers to spend a night in a hotel. The spokesman said: "We won't be able to use the plane for a while, and also the extra rooms for the passengers will cost us a lot of money."
