JAR conversion

I am a US Airline 737 Captain that has taken early retirement
and wish to fly overseas. I have a BS degree in Business/Aviation from
Southeastern State University. I also hold a US ATP license. with 15000
hours.
I am currently 55 years old.
To be able to take/seek employment internationally, what must I do to obtain
a JAR License or an endorsement?

specifically: Part 5 on page 5, Note 2. Also do a search for licence conversions here in pprune.

But I think with your FAA Licence you should be able to apply for jobs with some operators. I'm not sure which ones. To apply for a job with an EU operator you must have the right to live and work in Europe.

I'm open to just about anyplace. The UK, Germany, France, Japan are some I'ed like to see again.
How does the "right to work" work? Do I have to go through the State Department?

As I understand it: the Right to work and live in the EU as in being an EU citizen or at least being elegible to become an EU citizen. (Being married to one, or having direct ancestry in one of the EU countries.)

Jwalker, the 'right to work' requirement is almost certainly your biggest problem - if you want to fly in the EU for an EU airline, that is.
