Hi , just passing infos to anybody who might be flying through Nairobi Wilson .For Security reasons (New US requests or overzeal from one of our newly elected Gov member) , the airport is now closed from 1530Z (The TWR remains open til 1730 Z for Transits to HKJK ) .Good bye night flying training and Welcome New expensive positionnings at the international (!!!!) .I wish some bureaucrats would at least try to get to know what a flying ops is ...
To add to that , our Security people have decided to visually check all aircrafts leaving and incoming .More Cumbersome and inepts prox .If somebody wants to smuggle anythin in Ke . they would hardly land at our busiest airport when hundreds of deserted and unmanned airstrips are around .
And by the way , these procedures apply to flights within the country , to foreign and local aircrafts , maybe even (Am trying to confirm that ) to trainees on T and goes .
