Running Windows 98 SE on a Compaq P3, 6G, 600 Mhz Laptop.
Several weeks ago I removed a program that I'd previously installed. Since then, at the end of every start-up, I get a message box that states:
Error Starting Program
The CMTOOL32.DLL file is linked to
missing export MSLNG32.DLL:12
I suspect that this missing file became linked to the program that was removed. There doesn't seem to be any obvious degradation of system performance, but one never knows what is going on behind the scenes.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.
