makes sense to me to have one big airport vs 2 smaller airports - especially with CWL not being easily accessible - can't see Bristol or Cardiff being happy to close down though........

Also can't imagine that it would attract the big international airlines though like London or Manchester would so is it really worth the cost in the long run?

Severnside-New York?????? Not the most attractive of routes......

This has been in the light for sometime now, good to see that they are actually moving forward in submitting the proposal.
If i remember correctly (please correct me if im wrong) Richard Branson was keen to run/lease/own?? the airport but whether or not there is any truth in this is another question.
Would be nice to see this airport go ahead because i live in Newport and from my house i can see the Corus site and the area in which the airport will be built :)
