Does anyone have a figure for how many BA pilots are coming on to the job market this year?

The more things change - the more they stay the same . . .

Guess these BA guys will be hoovering up jobs they don't need whilst wannabes and others have to wait politely in the wings.

Yarpy, What makes you think retiring BA pilots don't need the cash? Most I know are supporting 1 or 2 ex wives and associated family.

Figures of 600 new pilots a year are being sugested by Oxford Aviation Training.

Maybe they are intent on pushing their own product but they are saying that the days of the self-improver are over and that new entrants must follow a structured full-time course.

bmi's present Operations Director, a very able pilot and operator, started life as a self-improver.

Food for thought????
