My old PC used to replace the "standard blank page with blue e" in IE with an icon from the page I was looking at. Those icons were then transferred, if I chose to add this page to my favourites list.
My new PC however doesn't do this (W2000). Any suggestions how I can get them little thingies back?

Oh, by the way: If I save a shortcut to Desktop from IE, those do get their own icons, I just can't see where they are stored...

Try right click/properties/web document/change icon

Location of the icon should then be displayed.

Sorry, but your procedure leads me to C:\WINNT\system32\url.dll with some very boring icons. I think this target is some default, if it doesn't find the original icon.

Funny enough, just writing about my problem seems to have solved it. (PPRuNe, your Computer psychotherapy)
Obviously, by saving the link on my desktop, the icons were stored somewhere and suddenly I could save the Favourites with the icons.

Now someone sort that one out because I'm at my wits' end...
