im just getting into fs2002 and finding it quite good, but am interested in what its multiplayer has to offer. anyone used it? cheers

www.vatsim.net. A huge international network of virtual ATC and IFR traffic. Make sure you visit the regional vatsim site too such as UK or US, etc. A lot of reading to do too.

Basically, real people man the tower, app or FIRs/UIRs and provice ATC services for realtime IFR flights. As a vitual pilot you simply select you aircraft of choice, create a flight plan, file it, set your location, logon to vatsim, then call the tower (if your location is manned) to start the flight.

It is reasonably realistic, with the actual weather being downloaded in real-time, real human ATC interaction and looking at other manned traffic in holds, arriving and departing. Good fun but didn't really float my boat for various reasons. However, it is very impressive and maybe your thing.
