Considering migrating to Austrailia in the next year.

What is the pilot hiring market like at the minute?

How will my experience of 2700hrs with Dash 8 (1000hrs) and EMB145(300hrs) been seen?

What is the corporate market like, is it like back here where it is a case of not what you know but who you know?

Both Qantas and Virgin are recruiting at present, I've also heard some recruiting in the "regional" airlines as well. You'll have to get Australian licences and I believe Virgin require a 737 type end. Having said that the aviation scene has always been difficult here, too many pilots chasing too few jobs. Where is "back here"?

Virgin will offer a job subject to you obtaining an endorsement on 737.
