Does the HK Aviation Medical Board accept applicants that have undergone laser eye surgery (Lasik) procedure?

If so, what is the waiting period involved?

Thank you

They consider any laser surgeries on the eyes a disqualifying act. You might still get a HK medical, but you have to somehow prove to the CAD that there are no "adverse" effects after the surgery (however you do that!).

You almost certainly will not get into CX and KA if you've done Lasik though, too many unknowns with this relatively new surgery, doctors at CX tend to be on the conservative side.

(There's a reason for my handle...)

Don't know if it 's of any help but just saw in their office a notice that there must be a one-year-periode . Better give them a call as there has been some changes from July 2002 .

IF you tell the PMO you have had LASIK, you will NOT get the job.
