The mighty "STRAT" is now back in the skies in HER new life as a soon to be Flying Museum of COLD WAR HISTORY. The big Boeing C-97G(377) Stratocruiser is now owned & operated by the non profit, all volunteer tax-exempt membership Corporation, the BERLIN AIRLIFT HISTORICAL FOUNDATION from Toms River NJ. It has been many years past since folks have seen or heard this once named "QUEEN LADY OF THE SKIES" Only 2 such examples of the "STRAT" still survive in the WORLD today that are AIRWORTHY! 888 were made by Boeing & only 55 were made into AIRLINERS for comercial use known as the 377 Stratocruiser. All the rest went to USAF & SAC as cargo haulers or aerial tankers in the form as the C/KC-97 STRAT. We at the BAHF are dedicated to preserving,in flying condition, this rare 4 engine Proptransport for all folks to see & hear once again, the site of those huge PROPS & the sound of true RADIAL Engine Power.Help & support is always welcomed in this huge project to keep the "LEGACY ALIVE" See us at www.spiritoffreedom.org Contact me if interest is generated on this ongoing aviation project. Thanks
