Instrument renewal

Hello all,

Anybody out there with any information on how an Australian can get an Australian Instrument rating renewed whilst in the Caribbean (without having to fly back to Australia)? Perhaps somewhere in the States?

Any help much appreciated.

Out of interest is there anywhere in the Caribbean to do UK/JAA IR renewals?

The CAA used to maintain an office in POS, staffed from LGW - I don't know whether it's still there, and whether they have the authority to renew JAA IRs - but worth asking.

If it helps, I'm out in the Carribean at least twice a year completing OPC/LPC inc IR renewals on some of our JAA rated pilots.

Normal working area is in the BVI..
