British Med or GB Airways - Are they hiring? How do you like it?

I know that GB is increasing its Airbus fleet (swapping old 737s for Airbus) and that B Med has been expanding its routes. Are these airlines hiring? Do you need an Airbus rating to be interviewed (probably helps)?

If you fly for either, what are the pros and cons of working for them? How does it compare with previous positions with other airlines?

GB is a fantastic Co. to work for - decent pay, good routes, stable roster and most importantly good people ! It's my understanding that at the moment you'll need to be Airbus rated and with 'significant' commercial experience. Recruitment criteria reviewed periodically though.

Are GB looking to open routes from MAN/LPL or open a MAN/LPL base?

A MAN base has been rumoured in the past, but I haven't heard anything recently to suggest it's on the cards.
