Those flight crew members that are employed by Direct Personnel International of Dublin, live in Australia, and fly for Air Atlanta, be aware.
DPI have recently decreed, only after the direct (?) question was asked of them, that they WILL NOT cover resident Australians for either accident insurance or medical costs, whilst operating within Australia.
This 'discovery' is now quite important, since we now operate a regular service into both Melbourne and Sydney, whilst under contract to Direct Personnel!!
They quote difficulties under Oz law, preventing them from retaining this coverage.
