Having had my trusty Nokia 6110 some years I am now looking to upgrade the handset (I am with Vodaphone and intend staying with Vodaphone for the foreseeable future).

I am about to head to FL for a couple of weeks to see friends and was wondering whether I would get a better deal on a triband telephone (either Motorola or Nokia 7210) over there (USA) or here.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Also - my current phone is GSM, do I have to do anything to the SIM card to have it work in a triband telephone?

And ... which triband telephone appears to be the most reliable.

Thanks for help - I know this is not strictly "computers/internet" but close enough?

:D

Well the Nokia 6310i in the USA is $400, thats about £265. Cellhut (http://www.cellhut.com/wireless/store/phonedetail.asp?phoneid=164)

Whilst in the UK it's £230. 111.mobiles (http://www.111-mobiles.co.uk/acatalog/simfree_nokia_6310i.html)

So it looks like your better getting it there.

I had pretty much set my heart on the Nokia 7210 so contacted 111.mobiles which happens to be a company not 10 miles from where I live .. the order is placed and the phone should be with me tomorrow/Monday (subject to Royal Mail!).

Thank you so much - I have been browsing various websites and as the 7210 is not yet available in the USA and the price at "Your Mobiles" is definitely competitive and of course the guy told me I should have it tomorrow all means I couldn't wait!!!

<~~she who is getting excited in a really geeky way at the thought of playing with her first new cellphone in years!!!
