amazing what you can find.

I suggest that you do a google search. Here's an example

http://www.geocities.com/nedu537/helihunt/

there is even a bibliography at the back which should help

Thanks again, I wrongly assumed that this stuff would be too obscure to pick up in a search. How wrong I was. Thanks.

You can search for a couple of videos made in New Zealand called The Venison Hunters and The last great Adventure.
Seen the videos and some amazing footage.
Think they are in paper back as well but not sure about the first one.Wouldn't know where to start for a search but if you are keen and have no luck i'll get you links from this end.

Here's a start for you:

Helicopter Hunters is a great video, the book is hard to come by , it is called the chopper boys, if you find it grab it.

In the us Hawkins and Powers proably doest more game capture/tagging /recovery than any other operator. Saw a picture of them slinging cows with a 500 out of the Escalante Staircase N.M. in Utah, wild stuff!

Helicopters by OZ, also does a lot of this stuff: www.helicapture.com. I heard they had a crash last year doing a moose recvory and the pilot and mucker were killed. It might have been the owner..

There are several samller guys in the western us that do that sort of work with 500d's

HP's web site: http://www.hawkinsandpowers.com/Capture.htm

I am sure they have lots of photos if you contact them . Gary there chief pilot does most of the capture work.

Hope this helps..
