Hi all!
Sorry if this is a bit of a lazy question!
I finished my fixed wing CPL just in the middle (do we know that, it could be the beginning...:( ) of this economic crisis. So I decided that I wouldn't continue with all the ratings that I need to get a reasonable job until things looked better, wings level and climbing. I wonder though, has the heli industry been affected much by all the recent events?

Reason that I'm asking is, since I've allways thought helis are way much cooler than fixed wing a/c, perhaps I'd reconsider my future career. Though I've heard that it's even harder to get a decent job flying helicopters, it might be the best choice since it's virtually impossible to advance in fixed wing at the moment. But I also enjoy that type of flying more.

Are these concearns reasonable? Is it dificult to get a job flying rotorcraft (a very general question I know) in europe?likewise in the US?

I would appreciate any thoughts and ideas on these questions!

best regards/lns
