Hi all. Sorry for being the proverbial pain but i have another little problem.

This time its an Outlook Express thing. Here is what comes up when i try and run/load/start Outlook Express.......

Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be loaded.

Help.... :(

Its worth google searching for the file name - in this case I got a couple of leads - either you can download the dll file from somewhere like this, DLL dowloads (http://www.useyourbrain.co.uk/computing-missing-files-download.htm), don't know what version its for or which directory it goes in in Win 98.

Or there will be some QandA site like this Ask Angela (http://www.supanet.com/computing6.1/expert/question.php3?sel_category_id=69) - she thinks you should reinstall windows. (Its the last question on the page)

I would have thought you could reinstall OE from the windows setup tab (go start, settings, control panel, add/remove programs, windows setup). You might have to unistall it first and then reinstall? Do backup/copy your mail, account settings and address book first though.

Is the .dll file still on your system ? (Search Windows Explorer). It may be corrupt, since I can't imagine it 'disappearing' altogether from one run to the next (but then this is Microsoff after all :( ).
Looks like you'll have to reload it either way. Probably easier to Remove OE and reinstall.

Seems you're not alone BRL, see:

Yep, its still on my hard-drive. I downloaded the .DLL and pasted it to where the other one is and replaced it. Still doesn't work. Can't find Outlook express anywhere to download. Tried microsoft and a few others, even TuCows don't have it. :(
Thanks for taking the time to help here, much appreciated. :)

SOLVED Thank you Paper Tiger. I followed the link and got the info from there. Went to add/remove/I.E.5/add component..... Easy ;) :D :D
